Current news from LA Dodgers...
Ryu is a South Korean starting pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major Baseball League. In 2013, after spending seven seasons with the Hanwha Eagles of KBO, Ryu became the first player from the KBO to join a MLB team via the posting system. Ryu was also the first South Korean to serve as the starting pitcher of a Major Baseball League postseason game.
On November 9, 2012, the Eagles accepted the reported bid of $25,737,737.33 from the Los Angeles Dodgers, giving them a 30-day period to try to negotiate a contract with Ryu. On December 9, he was signed to a 6 year, $36 million deal, that included the option to opt out after the 5th year if certain performance benchmarks were reached (750 innings pitched by year 5, an average of 150 innings/year).

Current News from Korea
The ship called "Saewol" ship sank near Jindo Island. The ship was going to island of Jeju from Incheon on 16 April 2014. Most of people in the ship were high school students which they were going on a field trip. After two hours of shipping, the ship submerged. Beside the 174 passengers rescued on the first day, no survivors have been found. The confirmed death toll hit at least 171 on Thursday, and the remaining missing passengers are feared dead. At the time of the accident, the captain was in his private cabin and the third mate was at the helm. The captain even did not call anyone for help, but he escaped leaving his passengers alone. He only announced to stay where they are and do not move. However, the captain escaped after the announcement with some of cruisers.
